I am a man of routines. I tend to do things the same way each time. My house, if I had my druthers, would not be rearranged. I tend to have a schedule and feel more comfortable when that schedule is followed. If my planned schedule is changed, it can throw me off for quite a while.
This trait can get in my way sometimes. I tend to feel comfortable with things I have already done and can be somewhat reluctant to try something new. This can cause problems for me because God expects us to grow. That means there will be times that He wants us to do something we have never done before. When that happens, it sure makes me nervous. However, if I am to grow, I have to listen to what He tells me. I have to do new things. I have to follow the Lord’s instructions. I have to change my routine.

Change can be a difficult thing. Sometimes God calls us out of our comfort zones to do or try something we may not necessarily want to do. This blog is one such endeavor. Though I am a graduate of a Bible college and have been saved for many years, I still feel uncomfortable about sharing or “preaching” about my faith. Though a blog can be an information tool, it also can be a way to communicate the message God has for whoever may read this blog. I feel that God is leading me to do more than just transmit information, but to share my faith. I will try to post here at least once a week those things that I feel God leading me to. I am willing to change and grow, as challenging as it may be. I hope and pray what I write here will be a blessing to whoever reads it.
